Welcome to Pet Info Galore ! Let me introduce myself. My name is Deb Lawhorne. This is my very first posting, and I thought I’d give you some information about me, so you can get to know me better.
I have three grown children and twelve grandchildren. I live with my husband (Bud), my youngest son (Andrew), and my 11 year old grandson (Jarron) in Boyertown PA. We have 2 dogs, a parakeet, and a fish. I am a stay-at-home fur baby mom. I retired from a major insurance company after working there for a total of 21 years. I was a Business Analyst.
My passion in life is animals. I previously worked in a pet shop for about 3 years, and I worked for a veterinarian for several years. I absolutely loved both of those jobs. My dream is to someday open my own animal shelter.
In my blog, I will be focusing mainly on dogs, cats, birds and reptiles, as I’ve had experience with all of them. At times, I may post an article or two about wild animals, but my main topics will be about house pets. I will be writing ‘spotlight’ articles featuring specific animal recues and shelters as well as specific dog breeds. If you are passionate about a specific animal rescue or shelter in your area, please let me know, and provide contact information if you have it, so that I may research it for an article. As for articles about specific dog breeds, I need to research most of them, so if you don’t see an article about your breed, just be patient, I’ll get to it!
In my opinion, animals are awesome. There is so much to know about them! And just like humans, animals all have their own personalities and quirks. This is what I’ll be writing about. If there is something specific that you would like me to write about, feel free to drop me an email. I expect that some of my upcoming articles will be very serious, but there will also be some that are lighthearted or even funny.
I hope to have my first article posted on Monday, and I hope you will all drop in and take a look! Suggestions and constructive criticism is welcome! Sign up for our newsletter (above), and hop on over and ‘Like’ my Facebook page. You may also follow me on Twitter.
